BOYS U18 REPORT

BOYS U18 REPORT

On a glorious sunny Sunday, the County Boys U18 team made a fantastic winning start to their 2023 Midland League East campaign in a double header against Northamptonshire and unbeaten Cambridgeshire at St Neots GC

The course was quite quirky with accuracy rather than power required on many holes.

Led by County Junior Captain Lennon Albans, the boys made a great start in the morning Foursomes to lead both matches 3-1

With the wind getting up in the afternoon the matches were much tighter but our team which featured a 13 year old and two 14 year olds were a match for their opponents running out 7-5 winners agains Northants and 8.5-3.5 against Cambridgshire.

Every player scored at least one point and special mention to Ethan Wan, Jacob Mitchell and Reuben Tennant who were all unbeaten.

Grateful thanks to all of the parents who supported the boys and all County officials who came along to provide support

Onwards now to the remaining two fixtures at the end of July
