COUNTY BOYS UNBEATEN
COUNTY BOYS UNBEATEN TO THE END
The County U18 Boys kept up their unbeaten season in winning the Midland League playoff against West champions Derbyshire at Whitefields GC on Sun 1 Oct.
Led by team Captain Will Burbidge, the boys surged to a fantastic 3.5 to 0.5 lead after the morning foursomes with great wins for Ethan Wan & Theo Nelson, Louis Cooke & Reuben Tennant and Kai Krishnan & Will Burbidge. The half point gained by Owen Rafferty & Charlie Cooke on the last green proved to be crucial.
The afternoon singles went to the Derbyshire players but wins for Charlie Cooke, Louis Cooke and Ethan Wan delivered the 3 points needed for an overall 6.5 to 5.5 win for the Notts boys.
This was the culmination of a fantastic unbeaten season and with all the players still available in 2024 we have high hopes for the coming year.
Grateful thanks to all of the parents who have been amazing all year and also to the many County officials who turned up too support the boys
