NIPPERS END OF SEASON REPORT
NIPPERS END SEASON IN STYLE
The Notts Nippers Tour ended its 2023 tournament schedule on a gorgeous summers day at a fantastically well presented Trent Lock GC with 35 Nippers playing.
As usual there was a great mix of experienced U12 players and players quite new to golf – and the number of girls playing was exciting for the future.
This final event was the culmination of the 6 event tour with four Order of Merit prizes up for grabs right to the end – the winners were
Under 9 – Ellis McGregor winner with William Scott runner-up
Under 10 – Jack Worthington winner with Nikki Pollard runner-up
Under 11 – Charlie Annable winner with Logan McGregor runner-up
Under 12 – William Lane winner with Luke KIrton runner-up
The final event of the year is the annual mini “Ryder Cup” against Shropshire and Herefordshire at Norwood Park GC on 24th Aug – our best wishes to Charlie Annable, Captain and his great team.
Once again the Nippers Tour has been a fantastic success and credit must go to Pete Lockley, Nippers Manager and his team of supporters – Tom Warnock, Dee Gladden and starter Bob Gladden.
Finally, thanks go to all the parents and grand-parents – without your amazing support none of this would be possible
