Nottinghamshire Strokeplay Championships
The Nottinghamshire Amateur and Open Strokeplay Championships were held on Sunday 25th May at Hollinwell.
The 7250 yard Championship course was extremely challenging with a strong wind blowing all day. The 2025 Amateur Champion is Cole Betteridge (Sherwood Forest), with a score of 150, winning by one shot from Darren Kirton (Worksop) and Lennon Albans (Hollinwell). Congratulations Cole.
The Open was won by Professional Tom Hamson (Chilwell Manor) on 147, with the evergreen Andrew Willey (Oakmere Park) one stroke behind, and another veteran, Phil Edwards (Coxmoor) coming 3rd.
The Champion club this year is Sherwood Forest, who will represent the county in the English Champion Club event in September.
As always, Hollinwell was presented in magnificent condition and our grateful thanks go to the members for allowing the use of their course, and all the staff for their friendly assistance in making the day run smoothly.
